ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBER
Prof Rémi Quirion, PhD, OC, GOQ, FRSC, has served as President of the International Network for Governmental Science Advice (INGSA) since 2021 and is Emeritus Professor at McGill University. He was Québec’s first Chief Scientist from 2011 to 2026.
Prof Quirion also served as Vice-Dean (Life Sciences and Strategic Initiatives) at McGill University and Scientific Director of the Douglas Research Centre. He was the founding Scientific Director of the Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction.
He has authored more than 750 scientific publications and is one of the world’s most highly cited neuroscientists. He has received numerous awards and honours, including the Order of Canada (OC), the National Order of Québec (GOQ), and several honorary doctorates. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and a member of several scientific organisations in Canada and Europe.
